Negotiators for the employees’ union, Legal Services Staff Association, reached a tentative agreement on a deal last week (NYLJ, June 24). The contract puts in place new rules to ensure fairness in layoffs, among other changes. The union members voted to adopt the new contract in a secret ballot vote and were set to return to their jobs today.
