Sanctuary for Families, a legal services and advocacy agency that serves victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking and their children, recently honored Debevoise & Plimpton with its Law Firm Leadership Award. Since 1999, Debevoise has given 11,500 hours of pro bono legal services to Sanctuary clients. In addition to direct representation of abuse victims, the firm helped found Sanctuary’s Courtroom Advocates Project and has provided financial support to the group.

Debevoise lawyers who volunteer with Sanctuary are Anne Cohen, Mark Goodman, Hannah Pennington, Olga Kaplan, Carolina Henriques-Schmitz, Natalie Reid, Brita Siepker, Amanda Zakowich, Zahra Nahar-Brown, Nicholas Miller and Christopher Tahbaz. The firm accepted the award at a benefit for Sanctuary on Tuesday.
