A federal appellate court on Wednesday enforced an order by Eastern District Judge Edward Korman (See Profile) requiring the federal government to make available a form of the "morning after" contraceptive pill to all women and girls of childbearing age without a prescription.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit lifted its May 14 stay that applied to a part of Korman’s ruling that affected a two-pill variant of the generic equivalent of the drug Plan B.
