An attorney is seeking to compel Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes to appear for a deposition in federal court in connection with a wrongful imprisonment action against New York City.

Hynes should be deposed about his personal knowledge of Jabbar Collins’ case, about the promotion of the assistant district attorney who prosecuted Collins and about an alleged pattern of ignoring Brady material disclosure and other prosecutorial misconduct within the district attorney’s office that Hynes has never seriously sought to correct, maintains Joel Rudin, Collins’ lawyer.
