The state Senate yesterday unanimously approved Sheila Abdus-Salaam's nomination to a judgeship on the state Court of Appeals. She was nominated by Governor Andrew Cuomo to fill a seat on the state's highest court that had been open since the death of judge Theodore Jones Jr. in November.
