A Supreme Court justice has accused the state parole board of manipulating the process to unjustly keep Hank Morris, a once prominent political consultant, behind bars for as long as possible.

In an amended version of a decision released on April 12, Justice Richard Mott of Columbia County (See Profile) said evidence he received after releasing his initial order proves that the Board of Parole has engaged in "machinations" to subvert Morris’ claims and to shield its actions from judicial scrutiny.
