Four children between the ages of 3 and 9 suffering from "complicated bereavement" for their dead father should not be forced to have visitation with their grandmother, an appellate panel has ruled.

In a case underscoring the emotions that often accompany grandparent visitation matters, a unanimous panel of the Appellate Division, Second Department, wrote in Pinsky v. Botnick, 2012-03338, that the visitation ordered by Family Court was not in the best interest of the children.
