Michael Alperstein has been appointed administrator of the assigned counsel plan for the Appellate Division, First Department. He will be responsible for the operational supervision of the criminal panel, including the evaluation of attorneys seeking appointments, assignments, vouchering and billing, investigation of complaints and professional development.
