Four immigration lawyers were convicted on Feb. 5 in connection with the alleged fraud mill run by attorney Earl Seth David. Attorneys Gulay Cibik, Refeal Brodjik, Nathan Schwartz and Harold Tishler were convicted at trial before Southern District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald of conspiracy to defraud the United States, fraud and misuse of visas or permits and other crimes for their role in an ongoing scheme centered on the David firm in Manhattan. They were among 27 defendants charged in 2011 in a conspiracy to file tens of thousands of fraudulent petitions using fake employer sponsors and a corrupt Department of Labor employee.
