Former Lehman Brothers executive Ernest Green, a member of the “Little Rock Nine” who integrated an Arkansas high school in 1957, will get a chance at trial to prove he does not have to pay back $85,000 in promissory notes that a former business partner allegedly promised he would not seek to collect on, a state judge has ruled.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Carol Edmead (See Profile) ruled that McCabe v. Green, 156815/2012, which she called a “curious case,” should go to trial after denying a motion for summary judgment by the plaintiff, Green’s former partner Neal McCabe.
