The New York County Democratic Committee has formed an independent panel to screen potential nominees for four upcoming Supreme Court vacancies. Questions should be directed to McLaughlin or the New York County Democratic Committee office at 212-687-6540. The application deadline is July 11.
The four justices who must retire because they reach age 70 this year are Helen Freedman and David Saxe of the Appellate Division, First Department, and Eileen Bransten and Charles Ramos, who both sit in the Commercial Division.
