Judge William M. Skretny

Lukose challenged an administrative law judge’s determination that she is not disabled within the meaning of the Social Security Act. Lukose alleged she has been disabled since 2007, due to depression, anxiety, panic attacks with chest tightness, memory and concentration problems, and knee pain. She contended her impairments have rendered her unable to work and asserted that she is entitled to disability benefits under the act. The court denied Lukose’s motion for judgment on the pleadings, finding that the ALJ thoroughly examined the record and afforded appropriate weight to all of the medical evidence in rendering his decision that Lukose is not disabled within the meaning of the act. The court noted that fact that the ALJ found that although Lukose is unable to perform any past relevant work, given her age, education, work experience and residual functional capacity, there are jobs that exist in significant numbers in the national economy that she can perform. The court concluded that the substantial evidence supports the ALJ’s decision.
