As a government attorney with the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board, Camille Siano Enders has a pretty generous allotment of personal and vacation time, and a very generous attitude on how to use that time. For the past 15 years, she has used some 500 hours of her own time to help about 50 victims of domestic abuse through Domestic Violence Legal Connection, a program of The Legal Project in Albany.

“Camille really stands out as an example for other government attorneys,” said Lisa A. Frisch, executive director of The Legal Project. “Government attorneys don’t always understand that they can do pro bono work and can be an asset to the community. Camille shows that it can be done and an attorney in government can be a real asset to the community. The fact that she uses her personal and vacation time to work on these cases is really remarkable.”
