• Mark R. Kossow, a partner in Boylan Brown’s Rochester office, and Robert E. Brown, a founding partner of Boylan Brown, have founded Schatz Brown Glassman Kossow, along with Robert Schatz and Richard Glassman, partners in Boylan Brown’s West Hartford, Conn. office. The new firm represents clients with respect to Employee Stock Ownership Plans, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, worker co-ops, stock option plans, phantom stock plans and stock appreciation rights plans. Messrs. Kossow and Brown will remain in Rochester, while Messrs. Glassman and Schatz will stay in West Hartford.
• Harris Beach has added Susan E. Fine as senior counsel in its educational institutions and labor and employment law practices in the Uniondale office. Ms. Fine, who was a senior associate at Ingerman Smith, represents school districts in general education, special education, fiscal accountability, student discipline, residency, open government, and policy matters.
