Duane Morris has appointed partner Michael Grohman as managing partner of the firm’s New York office. With more than 100 attorneys, the New York office is the second largest for the Philadelphia-based 700-plus lawyer firm. Mr. Grohman succeeds Robert Hasday, who served in that role since the Manhattan office opened in 1994 with just two attorneys. Mr. Hasday will continue his corporate practice, mostly representing banking industry clients.

Mr. Grohman is also chair of Duane Morris’ wealth planning practice group and has served as the hiring partner in the New York office since 2007. “Michael brings great energy and enthusiasm to this new leadership role, and I know he will build on the success Bob Hasday engineered,” Duane Morris Chairman John Soroko said in a statement. Mr. Grohman said in a statement that he will “enjoy the challenge of continuing and expanding on our growth in the New York office.”
