Democrat Eric T. Schneiderman has opened up an 11-point lead over Republican Daniel M. Donovan Jr. in the race for state attorney general, according to a new poll.

A Quinnipiac University Polling Institute survey released Friday showed Mr. Schneiderman, a Manhattan state senator, with a 43-to-32-percent margin over Mr. Donovan, the Staten Island district attorney, among the New Yorkers who said they were likely to vote in the general election.
