The site of the former Bay Ridge United Methodist Church has been sold to the School Construction Authority for nearly $10 million. The church will rebuild a smaller house of worship on the near one-acre site, which will also accommodate a new 680-seat elementary school. Also, Coastal Development, a company that finances and develops resort destinations, luxury hotels and gaming facilities, has signed a 10-year lease at 745 Fifth Ave. and the U.S. Department of Agriculture has signed a lease for the last vacant full floor at Queens Tower.

The site of the former Bay Ridge United Methodist Church has been sold to the School Construction Authority for nearly $10 million.
Located at 362-364 Ovington Ave., the 109-year-old building was known as the “Green Church” for its mossy exterior. It was demolished by its congregation last October to make way for a smaller easier-to-maintain structure.
