Faced with two parents who “apparently hate each other more than they love their child,” a state judge has crafted a new visitation and custody order despite repeated violations of two earlier orders by both the father and mother.

Family Court Judge Colleen D. Duffy in Westchester County (See Profile) held that she had no other recourse, given that she was unwilling to terminate the parental rights of both parents and unable to “split the child in half.”
