A money laundering and conspiracy conviction thrown out by a federal judge for insufficient evidence has been reinstated by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. A divided court ruled that Juan Manuel Huezo's conviction, based largely on evidence that he drove the car transporting more than $1 million in cash purportedly destined for Colombian drug traffickers, should have been allowed to stand.
