ALBANY – The latest rash of criminal investigations or convictions of New York state legislators has government reform advocates in Albany calling for a more detailed public accounting of lawmakers’ personal finances, including disclosure of their outside legal clients. Blair Horner, the legislative director of the New York Public Interest Research Group in Albany, said it is illogical to demand that legislators who have part-time consulting businesses divulge their client lists while not establishing a similar requirement for legislator-attorneys’ clients. Thirty-nine members of the 150-seat Assembly and 19 members of the 62-seat Senate have law degrees. New York state lawmakers who hold legal degrees:
