Albany-based NLJ 500 firm Whiteman Osterman & Hanna is sending the year out with a bang, announcing a combination set to go into effect Jan. 1 with business law and litigation boutique Nolan Heller Kauffman, a capital region counterpart.
According to the news release announcing the move, the combined firm will employ just under 200 professionals, including 113 attorneys, spread across headquarters in Albany and an office in Poughkeepsie with an additional remote presence in Syracuse and Rochester. 13 attorneys from Nolan Heller, including two of its named partners and 7 additional attorneys, will be absorbed into WOH.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M.
