Lawrence Knipel, the administrative judge for civil matters in Brooklyn Supreme Court for the past 12 years, is stepping down from the post and will oversee a court part dedicated to commercial disputes.
“It has come time for me to step aside and pave the way for a new generation of leadership,” Knipel, 72, said in an interview with the New York Law Journal.
