Former longtime Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Michael Jeffries has filed suit against the clothing retailer, claiming the company is contractually obligated to cover his legal fees as he defends against a federal sex trafficking case in Brooklyn.
The complaint alleges Jeffries is covered by an indemnification agreement he inked with the company upon his departure in 2014 because the indictment alleges Jeffries used his “power as the CEO of Abercrombie” to further the charged scheme.
