Donald Trump has nominated Todd Blanche, one of his criminal defense lawyers, to be deputy attorney general in his new administration. Blanche, an ex-Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft partner, was a former federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York for more than eight years.

President-elect Donald Trump has already named lawyers he will nominate for top-level positions during his second tenure in the White House, including a U.S. ambassador to NATO, his U.S. attorney general, thhe U.S. solicitor general and and White House counsel.
In one his latest moves, Trump last week tapped King & Spalding partner Jamieson Greer as his pick for U.S. trade representative. He's the latest attorney pick—and Big Law alum—expected to be in Trump's second administration.
