This column reports on several recent significant decisions from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Judge Joan M. Azrack dismissed an Anti-SLAPP suit counterclaim. Chief Judge Margo K. Brodie granted defendant's motion to dismiss plaintiff's copyright infringement claim, but granted leave to amend. And Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis denied a criminal defendant's motion to dismiss the indictment and to suppress evidence obtained during a search of his apartment and his post-arrest statements.
