In a measure to address Google’s “systemic and pervasive advertising” of copyrighted educational textbooks, publishers such as Cengage Learning, MacMillan Learning, McGraw Hill and Elsevier Inc. filed a federal lawsuit last week alleging that Google has profited from ads for pirated copies of their books.
