When legends of sports business such as Stan Kasten, Billie Jean King and Mark Walter and Canadian women’s hockey legend Jayna Hefford asked Toronto lawyer Chris Burkett to join their “little startup,” it was hard to say no.
“You don’t get more than one opportunity like this in a career to be able to build something that’s so meaningful with such great people,” said Burkett about his new role as vice president of league operations and compliance for the new Professional Women’s Hockey League.
