Fiction and nonfiction writers pursuing copyright infringement claims against ChatGPT developer OpenAI and Microsoft filed a consolidated complaint in the Southern District of New York on Friday, bringing together two cases filed in 2023.
The plaintiffs are “seeking redress for Defendants’ flagrant and harmful infringements of Plaintiffs’ registered copyrights,” according to the complaint.
