Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison partner Jeh Johnson on Friday told the jurors who will decide whether Davis Polk & Wardwell is liable for retaliating against ex-associate Kaloma Cardwell that Cardwell has presented a “conspiracy theory” without evidence.

Cardwell, the only Black male in the class of Davis Polk associates starting in 2014, sued the firm in 2019, claiming that he suffered retaliation after raising concerns about racial discrimination as an associate.
