Feldman Shepherd said Monday it has achieved a $7.25 million settlement concerning a tipped dresser that resulted in the death of a 2-year-old girl in western New York, and a subsequent recall of the product.

Daniel J. Mann, a shareholder in Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig’s Philadelphia office, confirmed the settlement to the Law Journal, saying it resolves an August 2019 lawsuit filed in Erie County Supreme Court by the girl’s family against Walmart, which sold the South Shore Libra three-drawer dresser, and South Shore Industries, the Canadian product manufacturer.
