Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Suzanne Adams on Tuesday allowed a woman who has accused billionaire hedge fund investor Leon Black of raping her in Jeffrey Epstein’s Upper East Side mansion to move forward with her civil suit under the Adult Survivors Act, denying Black’s partial motion to dismiss.

Through her attorneys at Wigdor LLP, Cheri Pierson sued Black for sexual assault, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and gender-motivated violence in connection with the alleged 2002 assault in November, when the Adult Survivors Act opened a look-back window for causes of action that would otherwise be time-barred.
