Sam Bankman-Fried’s defense attorney Mark S. Cohen started and finished his cross-examination of former FTX head of engineering Nishad Singh with questions about excessive spending, but it was not immediately clear Tuesday whether the questions would damage the jury’s view of Singh and his testimony.
Singh, who is expected to be the government’s last major cooperating witness to testify in the trial, pleaded guilty in February to fraud, money laundering and campaign finance offenses.
