Prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York on Tuesday announced a superseding indictment against U.S. Rep. George Santos, R-New York, charging him with two new fraud schemes related to campaign contributions.

The new charges come five months after Santos, 35, pleaded not guilty to an indictment accusing him of wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds and making false statements to the U.S. House of Representatives.
