Fordham Law School and Am Law 50 firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom have launched the Scott Simpson Cross-Border Institute at the law school, aiming to bring together members of the worldwide legal community and academia to address global legal and regulatory issues.

The late Scott V. Simpson, former global co-head of Skadden’s transactions practices, conceptualized the idea to unite leading law firms, practitioners, academics and students around the world to assess cross-border transactional trends, analyze issues and drive innovation and best practices, according to the school’s announcement.
