Voltaire, the French author first coined the phrase “with great power comes great responsibility” only to have it (the phrase) memorialized and thrust into American folklore through Uncle Ben’s cautionary warning to a young Peter Parker, a/k/a Spider-Man.
With unimaginable powers at his fingertips, Uncle Ben’s words serve as a reminder of how such power needs to be harnessed and used properly. The same can be said of today’s “Cyber World” and its collection, storage and access to data, call it “Cyber Power.” Unfortunately, with great power comes great responsibility.
