Former Manhattan District Attorney Special Prosecutor Mark Pomerantz could face serious penalties—including disbarment and a felony criminal charge—if his forthcoming book on the Trump investigation is found to have violated his ethical duties, a prosecutors group determined.

The potential consequences were laid out in a letter to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg from the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) on Friday. The letter, signed by APA President and CEO David LaBahn, is a response to an inquiry made by Bragg to the organization regarding the legal and ethical obligations of the former prosecutor turned author.
