The Trump Organization is merely a branding tool that does not legally exist and therefore cannot be sued, lawyers for the former president and three of his children wrote in their responses to the $250 million fraud lawsuit filed against them by the New York Attorney General Letitia James.

“To the extent a response is required, Defendant specifically denies the definitions of ‘Trump Organization’” lawyers for Donald Trump wrote repeatedly in his 297-page answer filed Thursday. “While the shorthand ‘Trump Organization’ is utilized by Defendants for branding and business purposes, no entity as such exists for legal purposes.”
