Two New York hospitals on Friday announced they have reached a $165 million settlement agreement with patients who reported they were sexually abused by former gynecologist Robert Hadden, who practiced at Columbia University for years before giving up his medical license amid a criminal investigation.

Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian announced that the agreement, which involves 147 former patients, has similarities to the $71 million settlement reached in December by 79 former patients and the hospitals. The settlements do not include all the women who have accused Hadden of sexual abuse and misconduct.
