While he would be known in later years for his prowess as a real estate attorney, David Clurman earned accolades early in his career as a sleuth who uncovered corruption on Broadway. 

Clurman’s extensive probe into the dark side of the Great White Way began in spring 1963, while he was working for the New York Attorney General’s Office under Louis Lefkowitz and had already earned a reputation as a hard-nosed investigator of well-heeled players in New York real estate.
