Acting Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan on Friday said jury selection will start on Oct. 24 in the financial crimes trial of the Trump Organization and its former chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg.
During Friday’s hearing, Merchan denied nearly all the defendants’ motions to dismiss, except for one count of third-degree tax fraud against the Trump Organization, which was dismissed with consent from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for timeliness reasons. Merchan said he expects to issue a written ruling.
