Lisa Rivera, a 20-year veteran of the New York Legal Assistance Group, has taken the helm of the 350-attorney civil legal services provider—becoming the first person of color and the first Latinx person to hold the position.

Rivera joined NYLAG in 2003 and has a long track record both there and through her career of working with survivors of intimate partner violence. Prior to joining the provider, Rivera worked on training programs on domestic violence for the National District Attorneys Association.
