A former employee of the investment firm Archegos filed an ERISA suit against the firm and its former executives in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, two months after Archegos founder Bill Hwang and former chief financial officer Patrick Halligan were charged with racketeering conspiracy, securities fraud and wire fraud offenses by federal prosecutors in the district.

According to the suit, plaintiff Brendan Sullivan contributed substantial amounts of money in Archegos’ deferred compensation plan, but Hwang used the plan “as a means of avoiding truly compensating employees at all.”
