Sherry Levin Wallach, a lawyer with deep experience in criminal defense practice and with organizations and groups that have advocated for certain justice-system reforms, will become the 125th president of the New York State Bar Association on June 1.

Wallach, currently deputy executive director of The Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, where she focuses her Legal Aid practice on criminal defense, will be sworn in by state Chief Judge Janet DiFiore at the Woman’s Club of White Plains, New York, on that date.
