Lev Parnas, the former associate of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani convicted of violating campaign-finance laws, now plans to plead guilty to a conspiracy charge related to his work with a fraud insurance company, his lawyer said in a court filing Thursday.

Attorney Joseph Bondy, who defended the Ukrainian-born businessman against criminal campaign-finance charges last year, requested a change-of-plea hearing ahead of a planned second trial in the Southern District of New York.
