Steven Donziger, the disbarred attorney who helped win an $8.6 billion oil-pollution judgment in Ecuador against Chevron, on Thursday was released to his home to serve out the reminder of his six-month criminal contempt-of-court sentence.
Donziger had served about a month and a half of his federal sentence in prison.
