A Manhattan federal judge this week signaled her distaste for a “deluge” of letter filings that had quickly swamped her docket in the appeal of Purdue Pharma’s $4.3 billion bankruptcy settlement.

U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon of the Southern District of New York admonished all attorneys in the closely-watched case on Thursday to end the onslaught of letters, as she tries to sort out the issues before her court.
