A dramatic shift has taken place in the corporate world in the debate over whether to require employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

At the beginning of the year, global research and advisory firm Gartner Inc. found that 8% of companies were planning to enact vaccination mandates as employees returned to the office. A follow-up study earlier this month revealed a sea change: 46% of companies expected to require vaccinations in jurisdictions that allow for such mandates.
