A Brooklyn federal judge on Tuesday denied a motion for a temporary restraining order to block New York Gov. Kathy Hochul from enforcing a vaccine mandate for health care workers claiming religious exemptions, finding that the issue was moot because a judge in the Northern District of New York on Tuesday granted a similar TRO.

The plaintiffs in the Brooklyn suit include at least 1,500 employees of three healthcare organizations, including Trinity Health, New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and Westchester Medical Center Advanced Physician Services, according to court filings.
