An immigration lawyer who allegedly failed to file key documents on behalf of clients, including one whose mother’s green card documentation apparently remains stuck in the unreachable lawyer’s possession, has been suspended from practicing law immediately after ignoring grievance committee requests for some 15 months.

The suspension for veteran immigration attorney Lavi S. Soloway, who it appears practiced for years in both Manhattan and Los Angeles, has been handed down by the Appellate Division, First Department court on an interim basis, pending the court’s potential further disciplinary action.
