Suffolk County Supreme Court Justice Jerry Garguilo on Wednesday announced that former state appellate judge Joseph Maltese will serve as special master amid a discovery dispute involving Endo Pharmaceuticals, one of several defendants in New York’s multidefendant opioid trial.
Maltese will report to the court in writing on the pending motions for contempt and other relief in an expeditious manner, Garguilo said.
